my city, my heart.

I took this picture while walking my dog early one morning. When I look out at the city my heart always pounds just a little harder than usual.  Can you fall in love with a city? Is it just the beauty of the place, or is it more? The mindset of those of us who live here? A way of being that just happens to be part of this perfect jumble of architecture and nature?

I love this city. I fell in love in this city. I fell in love with a man who loves this city as much as I do.
My heart will always belong in San Francisco.

A post for the gallery. The theme was "Love"

Ahh, how lovely. I used to feel that way about Hong Kong, where I grew up. Certain vistas in London give me that warm glow, and given a few years I think I could start to feel that way about New York. But you are lucky that you really know where you belong now.
My partner lived in San Franisco for a few years. He loves it. I so want to go....
it's fabulous to feel passionate about a place.
happy christmas to you.
I absolutely think you can fall in love with a city. I first visited Manchester in 1994, I went to stay with my best mate who I'd met at uni the previous year. From the first time I went there, I knew it was where I wanted to live and where I belonged. Me and my husband moved here in 2001 and we love it. I also live round the corner from my best friend - even better!
What a fantastic photo. I've been to SF a few times and love it. You are one lucky lady.
What a gorgeous city, would love to see it one day ;) @Kahanka
